The pathway to leadership is open and available to all who choose to pursue it, regardless of whether or not they’re in a leadership role. If leadership is defined by our ability to influence others, then we are all leaders – imagine that, a world filled with leaders. However we envisage a world not filled with autocratic, opportunist leaders but rather one filled with the new type, the emerging 21st century leader – a creative, inspiring, motivating collaborator.

If you think about it, we are all leaders of our own lives, making decisions daily that determine its direction. In his book, “Developing the Leader Within You”, John C. Maxwell shares that sociologists say, even the most introverted individual will influence ten thousand other people during his or her lifetime. Bearing this responsibility in mind, imagine the effect you can have if you set out to influence others in a positive, inspiring and motivational way. Consider the impact on the one being influenced and the one influencing.

As part of our programme we offer those in leadership roles, those aspiring to lead and those being led, the opportunity to understand leadership and the ways in which it can be practiced both to the benefit of: the one practicing leadership, their team and the organisation as a whole.

Leadership Programme

The leadership workshop forms one of the main interventions of this programme. We believe that in any organisation positional leadership roles need to be respected. However, we also believe that every individual is a leader in their own right, in that they can be an agent of change, and that this perspective is one that needs to be nurtured.

The archaic, autocratic style of leadership is on its way out and people are looking for alternative innovative, motivational and inspirational approaches to leadership. We believe that those privileged to be in positional leader roles need to nurture, motivate and inspire their followers, in order to bring out the best in them. Thus we offer variations of leadership training depending on the make-up of the participants. As a result of the Leadership workshop participants will:

Identify the various approaches and styles of leadership
Define why 21st century leadership demands a new way of thinking
Start developing the skills that are needed for effective leadership
Be inspired to make the changes needed
Identify the barriers to change and develop a strategy to overcome barriers
Define and articulate values
